1. Makeup Artists Responsibilities. Samantha Maddison (Southampton Makeup Artist) hereby agrees to perform makeup services for the Client at the Event specified in a professional, manner.
Samantha Maddison, may employ one or more assistants on larger bookings with the same standard and skillset.
If Samantha Maddison and/or her assistants are exposed to (i) unsafe conditions, (ii) abusive behaviour or (iii) objectionable or illegal acts at the Event, they reserve the right to take reasonable action to remedy such a situation, including but not limited to leaving the Event. In such event, the makeup artist shall not be obligated to refund any of the fees paid by the Client because of such action.
The trial is up to 90 minutes long. The trial takes place at Samantha Maddison’s home address where sufficient tools and lighting are provided. A trial makeup (consultation) is available for services that do not include one. This is a separate fee and is due when trial service is rendered. A trial may be rearranged to accommodate other bridal bookings in busy periods.
Makeup will be completed to the client’s satisfaction but is not to exceed the allotted makeup time. Ample time is given for each makeup upon booking. Acceptance of completed makeup application by the client is an acknowledgement by the client that their makeup is done to his / her satisfaction.
2. Deposit/Payment. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the booking is required to secure the date (that shall be applied toward the total fee for the Services and will be set out in the Payment Schedule) this is due upon execution of this agreement, at which time Samantha Maddison (Southampton Makeup Artist) commits to being available to the Client on that date.
The trial is £75 and the fee is to be paid no later than the day before the trial takes place. This amount is deducted from the final balance.
Trials may be rearranged due to accommodate other wedding bookings during busier periods.
The final balance is due two weeks before the event but no later than 48 hours before the event.
If payment for the final balance isn’t paid 48 hours at the latest before the day of the event then Samantha Maddison reserves the right to cancel the booking and shall not be obliged to refund any of the fees already paid by the Client.
Remaining payments of the balance due for the Services shall be made as set out in the Payment Schedule. In the event that the Client fails to remit payment as specified, Samantha Maddison. shall have the right to immediately terminate this Agreement with no further obligation to refund money or provide a service.
Any products that are not already provided that the client wants to use is the client(s) responsibility to source and fund these products.
3.Other fees: Where parking, toll fees, other travel fees, travel time and accommodation may be incurred; the amount will be included with the final bill and due for payment no later than 48 hours before the day of the event.
All three makeup packages offer travel up to a certain radius. Travel expenses after that are then charged at 45p per mile. This will be added to the final bill.
4. Cancellation. Cooling off period – If the client decides to cancel within 14 days of signing the contract the non refundable deposit of 20% of the booking fee will be refunded in full.
After the 14 day grace period, should a client cancel the booked event or any service on a contract, the deposit will not be refunded or transferred.
No shows for trial appointments will incur a cancellation fee of £50.
If the client does not wish to use Samantha Maddison as the Makeup Artist after the trial they can cancel the contract in writing or via email. This must be done within 14 working days of the trial being done. The trial fee and 20% non refundable deposit fee is non refundable if you do not wish to continue the booking.
After the 14 days the client will be liable to pay a cancellation fee as follows which is due within 21 days of making the cancellation.
Notice given 4 weeks or less before the wedding 100%
Notice given 8 weeks before the wedding 80%
Any notice period after 8 weeks before the wedding 50%
If the booking is affected by circumstances beyond the control but not limited to weather or health and safety issues and Samantha Maddison cannot perform makeup services then no compensation will be offered and the balance still remains to be paid due to loss of earnings
It is strongly recommended that you take out wedding insurance to cover you in the unlikely event this may occur.
If the makeup artist has to cancel due to an emergency or sickness and cannot provide an alternative artist then the remaining balance if already paid will be refunded in full. this does not include the cost of the trial or the 20 % non refundable deposit.
Removal of party members: After the 14 days grace period, you cannot remove party members and the client is liable for the full amount – failure to do so will automatically cancel your whole booking and you will not be eligible for a refund (part or full refund).
Please be advised that you cannot add party members on the day; they will not be accommodated due to timescales.
If the client needs to postpone the wedding day this needs to be notified in writing. Samantha Maddison will endeavour to accommodate providing the date is available and is within the next 18 months from being postponed. If there is no availability the remaining balance will not be taken however a new non refundable deposit of 20% of the booking will be required to secure the date after the 18 month period. If Samantha Maddison is not available then no compensations or refunds will be offered including trial fee and 20% non refundable deposit fee.
5. Images. Unless prior discussed and approved, Samantha Maddison, may use on its/her website/social media and/or in any brochure, flyer, or other advertising it deems necessary – any/all photographs, video, audio and any other digitally or chemically stored media that is captured or recorded by Southampton Makeup Artist, Samantha Maddison, and any/all of its representatives or agents. Client(s) agree to release any/all claims regarding the use of his / her image for such purposes. Client(s) also agree to release their name and contact information of professional photographers/videographers’ photographs and recordings.
The signed agreement serves as a release to the client(s) photographer/videographer and authorizes them to release to, Samantha Maddison (Southampton Makeup Artist), and its owners, agents and employees, any photographs/recordings to use on any promotional materials Southampton Makeup Artist, Samantha Maddison, deems necessary.
Liability: All brushes, tools and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitized between every makeup application. . Any skin condition should be reported by the client to the makeup artist before the application and if needs be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client(s) agree to release the makeup artist, Southampton Makeup Artist, Samantha Maddison, from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reaction.
6.Service location requirements : Location of service for the day-of-event will be at the discretion of the client, but there are certain requirements the makeup artist needs in order to complete the makeup. A ‘set-up’ table/work area with chair needs to be made available for use by the makeup artist.
By booking Southampton Makeup Artist, Samantha Maddison, you are agreeing to the above Terms and Conditions of this User Agreement.
